This is a very good plugin! I love it!

I would like to know how can I turn off the “URL” in the image… since I don’t want the images open URL in new page… simply showing the image (like your demo) is okay..

(May be the way is just simple buy I am weak in JS..Thank you very much)

This plugin doesn’t appear to fully work in 2.8.6 — when i go to configurations the screen is messed up and showing what must be layout code.

hi. i wondered if there was a way to remove the sliders on the thumbnails, and instead, just have the thumbnails undernath in rows/columns?

    thx, AG

    Hi Antonie,

great plugin – but it doesn’t work when I post the code snippet
    slideshow(); ?> in the header.php

when I insert it into a post or a page (via wp admin panel) it works.

Any ideas on how to call the plugin differently ?

Another thing, naming the plugin holder “wrapper” is not a good thing, since most of the sites already use that id. The css you made for this element messes up the whole layout.

    cheers

    ok

I’ve installed this several times now, both through WP and manually. Each time, the slideshow admin panel just says:

    Manage Slides (

And the configuration page just has the headers of the boxes, but that’s it. I’ve used this plugin successfully before on a different server. Do I have to CHMOD a folder or something?

  8. #8 by Leo on November 30, 2009 - 11:07 pm

I installed your plugin but I’m getting this error in the “Manage Slides” page when I try to configure it…

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/mydomain.com/wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/views/admin/slides/index.php on line 48

  9. #9 by Simon on November 30, 2009 - 11:53 pm

I also have the Invalid Header error—and short_open_tag is set to “On” in my php.ini file.

I really want this plugin to work, it looks great!

I’m running PHP 5 and WP 2.8.6 on localhost.

Interesting, I tried a second time to activate it (after dinner) and now it works.

    Hi there,

I seem to be having difficulty getting the pictures to show in the slideshow. I’ve got them linked directly to the JPG file. Could it be a sizing issue?

    Very cool plug-in.

Is it possible to display more than one slide-show on a WP site? If so, then it’s perfect.

I installed your plugin & after activating it, I got following errormassage:
Warning: Wrong parameter count for class_exists() in /www/htdocs/w00896f7/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/slideshow-gallery-plugin.php on line 55

Warning: Wrong parameter count for class_exists() in /www/htdocs/w00896f7/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/slideshow-gallery-plugin.php on line 73

    I’m using the latest wp-Version.

What is wrong? What do I have to check or change?

It is because you are running PHP 4.
class_exists had a 2nd parameter, called autoLoad introduced to it in PHP 5.
I’m removing this from the next release to make the plugin PHP 4 compatible.

Hi – I love the look of your plug-in, and have been having problems with FCG so I installed, inserted the PHP code into my index.php in my theme, have added 2 slides and checked the configuration, but all I get is the background and right/left arrows. Am I missing some step, or doing something wrong?

  18. #18 by Simon on December 14, 2009 - 2:52 am

    Great plug-in!

Pls add me to notification to let me know when I can have multiple slide-shows.

I am only using it on one page of my site at this stage but have more pages where I will be able to use it when I can have the different slideshows.

    Thanks

    Simon

v1.0.3 of the WordPress Slideshow Gallery plugin has been released with several improvements and fixes. Multiple galleries, making use of the WordPress media uploaded to posts/pages are not available. http://wpgallery.tribulant.net

    Great plugin!!
mainly if it can show multiple galleries, which I must confess, don´t have a clue about how-to-do-it… :)
I went through the entire site and couldn´t find a “for dummies” explanation…
Would you be so kind as to doing that?
Thank you for a great (and free) plugin!

I cant seem to get the slide show gallery to pull pictures from a page. I have tried using page_id instead of post_id but it does not work. Can this work with images on a page?

  23. #23 by mike on July 7, 2010 - 11:18 pm

I am having a problem with the link on the slide working in internet exploer. If you use firefox then the link works fine but when you are in internet explorer i dont even get the link image to come up. Is there a way to fix this problem?

  24. #24 by Steve Ray on November 16, 2010 - 2:26 am

Any word on when the IE link bug will be fixed? I just installed this on a client site, and the bug is still there — links don’t work in IE.

    Hi Antoine.
Great plugin. I was capable to let it just how I wish. I’m using a “designer-hack-style” to make multiple slideshows. Right now all my photography pages appear with different slideshows. Pros, it works! Cons, each time I publish a new page I have to put a line of code on my theme.

    slideshow($output = true, $post_id = 976); } ?>
    slideshow($output = true, $post_id = 937); } ?>

And so on… As I said, I’m not a programmer and can´t think anything better than this. If someone have a sugestion will be fully apreciated. Thanks.

  26. #26 by Paulo Ramalho on April 2, 2011 - 11:41 pm

    Ups!!
    The code is:

    slideshow($output = true, $post_id = 976); } ?>
    slideshow($output = true, $post_id = 937); } ?>
